LAUNCHING CEREMONY AND HEALTH CARNIVAL OF KLINIK PRIMER PPUKM CHERAS

Klinik Primer PPUKM Cheras (KPPC) under the responsibility of the Family Medicine Department, Pusat Perubatan Kebangsaan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia organized itsLaunching Ceremony and Health Carnival on Saturday, August 12, 2017, in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the Perak Jubilee’s establishment of the Family Medicine Department.

The ceremony was officiated by Prof Dr Nor Ghani Md Nor, Pro Naib Canselor (Penjanaan dan Prasara), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

The objective of the program is to introduce KPPC which has been in service for the past one year to the surrounding communities, as well as providing opportunities for institutions and industry who are interested in working with KPPC for the improvement of primary care services and rehabilitation of the patients.

Themed “Your Community Health Partner”, KPPC is a primary care clinic that provides healthcare services to the communities as well as an academic training center for teaching and research purposes for undergraduate and post-graduate students in family medicine. It is also a platform for healthcare professionals from various disciplines to collaborate and do  research at the primary level to improve healthcare of patients at the primary care level.

Various exciting events were held on the day, including free health and dental screening, health and specialized clinicsexhibition,KPPC’s evolution exhibition in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the Perak Jubilee of the Family Medicine Department, the sale of food, beverages, health goods, preloved items and others.
