Congratulations to the Winners of Poster Presentation in at the 19th Annual Family Medicine Specialists Scientific Conference 2016

Congratulations to Dr. Hizlinda Tohid and Dr. Teh Rohaila Jamil from the Department of Family Medicine UKMMC for winning the third place in the Poster Presentation at the 19th Annual Family Medicine Specialists Scientific Conference 2016. The poster titled “Influence of parental smoking behaviour on adolescent smoking: A cross-sectional study in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur” reported the results of a research project by Dr. Nurzeiti Yuslinda Yusof, a former postgraduate student of Family Medicine UKM who is currently serving at Putatan Health Clinic, Sabah. The poster was also authored by Dr. Radzniwan Abdul Rashid Mohd, a former lecturer of the department who is currently at USIM.

 

This 19th Annual Family Medicine Specialists Scientific Conference 2016 was held at Hotel Grand Dorsett Subang from 10th-13th August 2016. This conference was organised by the Malaysian Family Medicine Specialist Association (FMSA) which was collaborated with the Malaysia Ministry of Health. At this year’s conference, a total of 11 posters were presented by the lecturers from the Department of Family Medicine UKMMC.
