HCTM’s Talk Towards Quality and Excellent Services

CHERAS, 1 April 2022 – HCTM’s Talk Towards Quality and Excellent Services was held this morning at Multipurpose Hall, Additional Block, Kompleks Pendidikan Perubatan Canselor Tuanku Jaafar with the presence of nearly 200 people in the hall and 150 people in HCTM TV channels and HCTM Facebook. The invited guests consisted of heads of departments, senior officials and the secretariat. Online platforms such as HCTM TV and HCTM Facebook are provided to expand the information access to the target group, especially HCTM’s staff.

The opening event began starts with procession of HCTM’s top management accompanied by several staff from the Diagnostic Laboratory Services Department who were fully dressed like traditional Malay warlords. The event began with national anthem’s Negaraku, university anthem’s Varsiti Kita, and a prayer recitation. A silat performance by Encik Khairulisham Bin Mat, Kuala Lumpur Campus Security Division were also presented before YBhg. Prof. Dato ‘Dr. Razman Jarmin opened the curtain of the main session. The program lasted for 1 hour and 30 minutes, was done in casual and ended with Q&A session.

HCTM Team Thrive On KPT Prihatin Komuniti Sejahtera In Batu Pahat

BATU PAHAT, 25 Feb 2022 – Some 17 UKM volunteers consisting of lecturers, specialist doctors, nurses, laboratory staff and postgraduate students spend their time and gave commitments in KPT’s Prihatin Komuniti Sejahtera (KRIS) program which was held at Balairaya Pekan Sri Medan here in Batu Pahat, Johor. Organized by the Ministry of Higher Education in collaboration with UKM, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz provided free health checks and medical screening to the locals in the community. The health services offered were high blood pressure screening, blood glucose screening, BMI, orthopedic screening clinic, and also a house-to-house health screening. In line with the concept of ‘outreach’, this program aims to provide exposure, understanding and awareness in healthcare to reduce the morbidity and mortality rates in the Malaysian population. The two day program in Pekan Sri Medan and Pekan Semerah were seen to have received a warm response.

Leadership Lecture “Future of Healthcare in Malaysia : The Role of a Teaching Hospital”

CHERAS, 24 Feb 2022 – In conjunction with the 25th Silver Jubilee Celebration of Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM, a Leadership Lecture entitled “Future of Healthcare in Malaysia: The Role of a Teaching Hospital” was presented by YBhg. Dato ’Dr. Omar Abd. Hamid, Deputy Chairman, AVISENA Specialist Hospital this morning at the Auditorium. The program held a limited number of guests and also aired virtually via HCTM TV and Facebook.

Deputy Director of HCTM, YBr. Prof. Prof. Dr. Jamari Sapuan, Deputy Director (Surgical Services) delivered the welcome speech and biodata of the speaker. In his speech he mentioned that this was the first leadership lecture held in conjunction with HCTM’s Silver Jubilee Celebration. He also stressed out that the current era is full of challenges and the lecture’s title is very relevant and important to be shared with all UKM staffs.

Present on-site was YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Hanafiah Harunarashid, Pro Vice Chancellor (Kuala Lumpur UKM Campus), YBhg. Prof. Datuk Dr. Ismail Sagap, Director of the Children’s Specialist Hospital, deputy directors, deputy deans and senior officials.
