CHERAS, 15 Disember – Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM) mengadakan Majlis Penyampaian Sijil Akreditasi & Apresiasi Sempena Akreditasi Penuh Malaysian Society For Quality In Health (MSQH) Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz di Auditorium, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz. Majlis ini disempurnakan oleh Yang Berbahagia Prof. Dato’ Dr. Hanafiah Harunarashid, Pro Naib Canselor Kampus Kuala Lumpur UKM. Dianggarkan seramai 200 orang warga HCTM telah memenuhi Auditorium untuk menyaksikan detik bersejarah ini.

Majlis yang dianjurkan bertujuan untuk berkongsi detik istimewa di mana HCTM merupakan hospital pengajar universiti pertama yang memperoleh Pensijilan Penuh Akreditasi MSQH untuk tempoh empat (4) tahun bermula dari 9 Mei 2023 hingga 8 Mei 2027. Selain itu, sebagai tanda penghargaan kepada seluruh warga HCTM yang memberikan komitmen terbaik sebagai satu pasukan dalam melaksanakan segala tugas yang diamanahkan bagi meningkatkan kualiti perkhidmatan di hospital dalam memperoleh Pensijilan Penuh Akreditasi MSQH.

Majlis turut menyaksikan Penyampaian Sijil Akreditasi yang disampaikan oleh Prof. Madya Dr. Muhammad Abdul Kadar Marikar, Perunding MSQH dan Wakil Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif MSQH kepada YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Pengarah HCTM.
Hadir sama, Pengarah-pengarah Hospital, Ahli-ahli Pengurusan Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Fakulti Perubatan dan Hospital Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani, Hospital Pakar Kanak-Kanak dan warga HCTM.

Opening Ceremony of World Radiography Day Celebration and the Launch of the Pacs Synapse System UKM

CHERAS, 29 November 2023 – The Opening Ceremony of the World Radiography Day Celebration at UKM level and the Launch of the Pacs Synapse System was officiated by Prof. Madya Dr. Hanita Othman, Deputy Director (Diagnostic, Pharmacy, and Support Services), represents the Director of HCTM at the Main Lobby, Hospital Cancelor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM). World Radiography Day is celebrated on 8 November every year to commemorate the discovery of x-rays by Professor Roentgen on 8 November 1895.

This program is organized by the Department of Radiological Services HCTM in collaboration with 8 Responsibility Centres, namely the Divisions of Information Technology KKL, Department of Radiology HPKK, Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology, Department of Molecular Imaging & Nuclear Medicine, Department of Family Medicine Faculty of Medicine, Radiology Unit, University Health Centre, Radiology Unit of the Department of Craniofacial Diagnostics and Bioscience of the Faculty of Dentistry, and Program of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy of the Faculty of Health Sciences. As the theme is Celebrating Patient Safety, patient safety is a priority in reducing radiation levels in every Radiological examination and procedure conducted. Prof. Madya Dr. Hanita said the management has always supported this kind of program and believes it will provide opportunities for the parties involved to interact and be presented with new and deeper knowledge about the services and learning opportunities offered by UKM.

She said the combination of departments and units that are related and synonymous with services and learning in the field of radiology as a whole from UKM will increase the opportunity for the community to know more closely the types of services and learning opportunities in the field of radiology.

“The activities that have been arranged by the organizers during the program are interesting and one of the activities conducted is a free breast examination and ultrasound for the surrounding community who attended the program today.

“Breast cancer, the main cause of death for women who have recorded the highest percentage of 34.1 percent compared to other cancers among women in Malaysia, is a disease that needs attention because the incidence of breast cancer in Malaysia is 34.1 cases per 100,000 female population,” she said.

The Radiology Day Celebration Ceremony will also launch the PACS Synapse System, a web-based, technologically advanced image storage and management system. This system is used in the medical field to facilitate the process of storing and sharing medical images quickly and efficiently. The technology offered increases the level of fast image access by using streaming technology directly in real time. This technology will also improve the cybersecurity of image access as sensitive medical images are not stored in local storage.

Access to medical images can be obtained more quickly and regularly, which can help experts diagnose diseases more efficiently and accurately in accordance with HCTM’s motto, ‘Better, Faster and Friendlier.’ This facility greatly benefits patients and nurses in ensuring the most accurate diagnosis while providing effective, best, and most cost-effective treatment. The people who were also present at the inauguration ceremony were Prof. Madya Datin Dr. Shahizon Azura Mohamed Mukari, Head of Radiology Department, Head of Department and HCTM Staff.

 

World Stroke Day Celebration Opening Ceremony

CHERAS, 21 November 2023 – Majlis Perasmian Sambutan “World Stroke Day” Peringkat HCTM 2023 anjuran Unit Neurologi, Jabatan Perubatan telah dirasmikan oleh YBrs. Dr. Zairul Azwan Mohd Azman, Timbalan Pengarah (Perkhidmatan Perubatan) mewakili Pengarah HCTM  bertempat di Auditorium Kompleks Pendidikan Perubatan Canselor Tuanku Ja’afar, HCTM.

“Perkhidmatan strok adalah salah satu niche atau kekuatan di Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz. Pada tahun ini sehingga bulan November, hampir 500 orang pesakit strok menerima rawatan di HCTM. Seramai 48 orang pesakit telah mendapat rawatan awal iaitu thrombolysis, di mana pesakit menerima rawatan di kecemasan dalam tempoh
empat (4) jam terawal dari masa kena strok,” katanya semasa berucap dalam Majlis Perasmian World Stroke Day.

Sejak hampir dua (2) dekad lalu, perkhidmatan strok kian melonjak menerusi perkhidmatan, penyelidikan dan penerbitan. Melihat dari perspektif negara, strok adalah antara penyebab ketiga (3) utama kematian di Malaysia dan penyebab ketidakupayaan atau disability di kalangan golongan dewasa. Strok boleh berlaku pada sesiapa sahaja, tidak kira pada yang tua atau muda.

Beliau turut mengucapkan syabas kepada semua pihak terutamanya Unit Neurologi dalam menjayakan program ini, seterusnya mencapai objektif yang disasarkan. Turut serta dalam majlis ini adalah YBhg. Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim Abdul Gafor, Dekan Fakulti Perubatan UKM, Prof. Madya Dr. Wan Nur Nafisah Wan Yahya, Ketua Jabatan Perubatan, YBhg. Nursery Graduation Ceremony, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Session 2023

CHERAS, 16 November 2023 – A total of 23 nursery children received certificates of appreciation in the Nursery Graduation Ceremony of Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Session 2023 at the Lecture Hall of the Advanced Surgical Skills Centre (ASSC), HCTM. The certificate presentation ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Director of HCTM. The graduation ceremony is an annual event organized by the Department of Integrated Facilities Management.

 

Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman, Director of HCTM, said in his speech that the event was a much-anticipated event by the nursery staff as well as a form of respect and appreciation to the nursery educators for all the efforts that have been put into educating the children. Citing the speech of the Minister of Education, today’s society is increasingly aware that the need for good and quality education is closely related to determining the quality and future fate of the nations generation of children. A good upbringing will certainly help the children grow up, become useful people in the future, and give birth to a glorious nation; thus, everything starts with education.

 

The Director of HCTM congratulates all educators and hopes that HCTM nurseries continue to be an example for the education and development of a superior and quality human capital community in order to achieve its goals in the future. The people who were also present at the ceremony were Mr. Mursidi Ahamad, Deputy Registrar, Puan Zuraidah Konil, Head of Integrated Facility Management Department, Heads of Departments, Puan Emilia Nurfarah Ain Azmi, HCTM Nursery Supervisor, parents, and HCTM staff.

 

Congratulations – International Convention on Quality Control Circle (ICQCC) 2023 Beijing China Gold Award

Congratulations to the Sinaran Innovative Creative Group (KIK) from the Department of Radiology, Hospital Cancelor Tuanku Muhriz, UKM, for winning the GOLD Award at the 48th International Convention on Quality Control Circle (ICQCC) 2023, which took place on 29 October to 1 November 2023 at Yanqi Lake Convention and Exhibition Centre, Beijing, China.

KIK Sinaran Group, led by Mrs. Roslaili Mohamed, and 8 members won this award through the presentation of a project entitled High radiation dose during paediatric fluoroscopy procedures in the Department of Radiology. The innovation called ‘MP-Cradle’ is specially designed to address the problem of providing radiation protection for paediatric patients who often struggle and are difficult to position when the examination is conducted has won gold in the international quality convention that has been held for the 48th time.

The MP-Cradle has 3 main functions: protecting from radiation, positioning the patient, and preventing motion. In addition to providing radiation protection that can be adjusted as needed, is easy to change according to the angle needed during the examination and is suitable for various types of medical imaging machines, this innovation is produced with recycled materials and is also certified for its effectiveness by certified experts.

Inauguration Ceremony of Medical Equipment RMK-12 Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, UKM

Majlis Perasmian Peralatan Perubatan RMK-12 Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, UKM telh diadakan pada 30 Oktober 2023 di Auditorium Kompleks Pendidikan Perubatan Canselor Tuanku Ja’afar, HCTM. Majlis telah disempurnakan oleh wakil Menteri Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia, YBhg. Datuk Dr. Mohd Zabri Yusoff, Timbalan Ketua Setiausaha (Pengurusan & Pembangunan) Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi.

Majlis ini diadakan sebagai tanda penghargaan kepada pihak Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi dalam penyaluran peruntukan RMK-12 bagi meningkatkan fasiliti perawatan kesihatan di HCTM. Dua buah peralatan perubatan tersebut adalah Sistem Angiografi dan Sistem Fluoroskopi yang merupakan peralatan perubatan menggunakan teknologi Kecerdasan Buatan [Artificial Intelligence (AI)] dengan peruntukan bernilai RM9.2 juta. Teknologi AI merupakan teknologi terkini yang dimanfaatkan dalam pelbagai peralatan perubatan seperti Angiografi, Fluoroskopi, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), X-ray dan sebagainya digunakan untuk proses diagnosis perawatan supaya lebih cepat, efisien dan tepat.

Prof. Dato’ Gs. Ts. Dr. Mohd Ekhwan dalam ucapannya, berterima kasih kepada pihak Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi yang sentiasa cakna dan mengambil berat mengenai pembangunan fasiliti secara khususnya di setiap Hospital Pengajar Universiti (HPU) termasuk di HCTM. Beliau berharap dengan adanya peralatan terkini ini HCTM terus menjadi pusat rujukan utama dalam menyediakan perkhidmatan kesihatan yang berkualiti tinggi kepada masyarakat dan negara.
