- Able to perform elective and emergency surgeries.
- Providing academic training in surgery to undergraduate medical and postgraduate students.
- Organizing seminars/workshops/CMEs for knowledge sharing within the Surgery Department.
- Involved in research and publication for the Surgery Department.
- Allow clinical and fellowship attachments from public and private institutions.

- Wound Care Team = referrals from UKM and other health providers.
- Cleft lip & cleft palate management, with the UKMMC Combined Cleft Team & CLAPAM.
- Truncal reconstruction (Eg: Breast, body contouring post-bariatric surgery etc.)
- Trauma reconstruction
- Microsurgery and flap reconstruction
- Ear reconstruction (with ENT Team)
- Craniofacial surgery (with OMF, Neurosurgery Teams)
- Head & Neck Reconstruction (with OMF & ENT Teams)
- Breast/Thoracic reconstruction (with EnB, & CTC Teams)
- Congenital deformities from head to toe
- Liposuction, Lipotransfer
- Laser ablation (CO2 laser provided by Department of Otorhinolaryngology)
- Diabetic Foot Ulcer management (with Orthopedic Teams)
