A useful technique for assessing the cross-sectional area of the hollow in the gastrointestinal tract.

EndoFLIP ™ represents the first commercial application of this technique, and provides a cross sectional area size / diameter along the channel simultaneously. This study presents the first conformity assessment system and measurement EndoFLIP ™ catheter.

EndoFLIP ™ system can produce accurate measurements in the range of 5-25mm diameter. This system is used for the assessment of structural adjustment to gastointestinal tract through endoluminal surgery and laparoscopic technique is different, because it can measure the diameter 16 at the same time, the current research is focused on gaining a measure of cross-use of these techniques. This will help in bariatric surgery.
