Department of Pathology UKM Medical Centre will organize a workshop on IHC & FISH. The details of the workshop are as follows:
Title: “Basic Immunohistochemistry (IHC) & Fluorescence In-Situ Hybridization (FISH) Workshop: Application on Formalin-Fixed Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE) Tissue”
Date: 15 – 16 April 2015 (Wednesday & Thursday)
Venue: Department of Pathology, Pre-Clinical Block, UKMMC
The objectives of this workshop are:
1.To understand the basic application of IHC and FISH techniques.
2.To update on applications of IHC and FISH techniques in diagnosis of diseases.
3.To provide advance knowledge as well as hands-on skills in technical application of IHC and FISH.
4.To understand the clinical application of IHC and FISH techniques.
We expect participants from various universities and hospitals including Pathologists, Trainees in Pathology, Scientific Officers, Researchers, Medical Lab Technologists and Postgraduate Students. The clinical applications topics will be delivered by our expert, Professor Dr. Noraidah Masir, Consultant Histopathologist and Head Department of Pathology, UKM Medical Centre and technical applications topics by Mr. Lawrence Young, Regional Manager & Applications Support, Dako Australia Pty Ltd.
