The primary function of emergency services is to provide immediate life-saving care to critically ill patients. The concept of Triage (screening) is performed on all patients who want to seek emergency treatment to assess the level of ailment experienced by the patient. Priority is given to critically ill patients. Emergency services are operated by HCTM Department of Emergency Medicine.

Critical emergency
Emergency cases where there are danger signs as well as unstable vital signs.
Non-critical emergency
Emergency cases that have no danger signs and have stable vital signs.
Pre Hospital
Pre-hospital services are part emergency and trauma medical services scope in the Department of Emergency Medicine, HCTM which is a separate area of expertise under the discipline of emergency medicine.
It is a specialized service in emergency medicine and provides services that cover various forms of acute emergencies whether due to illness or injury, at out of hospital situation. Among services provided include ambulance service and medical protection team for sporting events, conferences and others.
One Stop Crisis Center (OSCC)
OSCC is an initiative of the Department to help alleviate the burden and trauma of victims from cases of domestic abuse, child abuse, rape and sodomy. It brings together all the expertise, the police and the welfare of the community to expedite in managing process of such case. Cases will be given priority and treated in the Anggerik Room (OSCC) except for critical cases that require closer monitoring.

- Difficulty in breathing
- Drown
- Choked
- Having fits or seizures
- Severe injury or bleeding
- Severe chest pain
- Victims of road accidents
- Fire or severe burns
- Poisoning or excessive intake of medicine or drugs
- Fractures
Only patients with emergency problems will be provided with such service. Non-emergency problems are recommended to seek treatment at the clinic.
Non Emergency Problems:
- Small wounds
- Cough and cold
- Mild fever
- Mild headache
- Diarrhea
- Rash or itching

Statement
- HCTM would like to inform all patients and/or visitors that the Management reserves the right not to treat any persons who is physically or verbally abusive or even threatening any of its staff.
- Anyone found to be using abusive words, being rude or threatening any of HCTM’s staff will be surrendered to the police and taken out of the HCTM’s premises.
