Official Visit from Delegates of the Czech Republic to HCTM

CHERAS, 13 June 2023 – Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM) via the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, had received an official visit from the delegation of the Czech Republic which was held in Sukmaria, Clinical Block, HCTM. The official visit was attended by H.E. Mr Jiří Kozák – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, H.E. Milan Hupcej – Ambassador of the Czech Republic and Mr Petr Foit – Member of the Association of Medical Devices of the Czech Republic. Objective of the visit is to foster and strengthen the cooperation in the healthcare market, research and education between both countries. Amongst the Czech Healthcare solutions being used in HCTM are our ICU beds, LINET Multicare in the Burn Unit and LINET Eleganza 4 and 5 in General ICU.

A handover session was also held during this official visit. Donation of beds, ‘Mobile Source Column’ and ‘Perinatological Bag Set’ from LINET, MZ Liberec Company and EGO Zlin Company were presented by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic to YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Hanafiah Harunarashid, Pro Vice Chancellor (Kuala Lumpur Campus) who is representing UKM Vice Chancellor. There was also a visit to the ‘General Intensive Care Unit’ (GICU) of HCTM immediately after the ceremony. Also present were Associate Prof. Dr. Hanita Othman, Deputy Director (Diagnostic, Pharmacy & Support Services) as the stand-in for Director of HCTM, Associate Prof. Dr. Jamari Sapuan, Deputy Director (Surgical Services), Dr. Zairul Azwan Mohd Azman, Deputy Director (Medical Services), Associate Prof. Dr. Azarinah Izaham, Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, several other Departmental Heads and supporting staff.
