Mission SlimPossible Competition Opening Ceremony MOHE 2.0

PUTRAJAYA, 7 February 2024 – The Opening Ceremony of the Mission SlimPossible MOHE 2.0 Competition was held today at the Za’aba Hall, Ministry of Higher Education, Putrajaya and was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Megat Sany Megat Ahmad Supian, Deputy Secretary General (Policy) of the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT).

Speaking in the ceremony, he informed the results of a study by the Institute of Public Health, Ministry of Health Malaysia in 2020 that found that the state with the most obesity in Malaysia is the Federal Territory of Putrajaya with 43% of the population being obese. In this study report it was also found that 40.3% of all public servants in Malaysia are in the obesity category.

“Mission Slim-Possible MOHE 2.0 competition as well as various other programs that have been implemented by the KPT Club is in line with the Ministry’s objective to always encourage KPT staffs to live a healthy lifestyle,” he said.

This health check-up program was going to held twice, which is today and the next on 6 May 2024, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) in collaboration with Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM). This program is led by the Family Medicine Department with collaborations of Nursing Services Department, the Dietetic and Food Service Department, and the Pharmacy Department to promote the importance of self-care and weight loss to 250 participant under the KPT. The HCTM Director’s Office and the Multimedia & Broadcasting Department were also present as secretaries.

The program offers free health screenings such as body mass index (BMI) measurements, blood pressure tests, blood sugar checks and health consultations. In addition, a health forum related to Healthy Lifestyle was held which was presented by YBrs. Dr. Sarah Anne Robert, Pharmacy Officer and Mr. Muhammad Azif Azizi Bin Md Noh, Dietetic Officer and Mr. Mohd Amri Yahya, former National Football player.

The ceremony was also attended by YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Director of HCTM, Mr. Mursidi Ahamad, Deputy Registrar, and Associate Prof. Dr. Saharuddin Ahmad, Head of the Department of Family Medicine.

HCTM Staff Assembly No. 1/2024

CHERAS, 29 January 2024 – A total of 200 staff of Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz and UKM Kuala Lumpur Campus attended the HCTM Staff Assembly No. 1/2024 which held in the Gallery , Kompleks Pendidikan Perubatan Canselor Tuanku Ja’afar, HCTM. Decorated with neon lights which are symbolic of modern urban fashion, the first assembly opened its curtain with a speech and message from YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Director of HCTM.

Throughout the year 2023, various successes and excellences have been achieved by HCTM whether at the individual, department, university or international level. Recalling the achievements of 2023, several successes were highlighted such as the Staff Sports Championship between UKM Clusters, the Bitara Kelestarian Award (Service Center-HCTM) in conjunction with the UKM Bitara Award Ceremony, the 5-Star Rating of myPortfolio HCTM implementation in conjunction with the Inspectorate, and the Parade Champion (Pusat Tanggungjawab Category) UKM KL Campus Contingent in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul Celebration 1445H/2023. In addition, throughout the year 2023, a total of 58 service activity programs, 53 official events organized by the department and PTj, and 37 corporate and academic visit activities domestically and abroad have been carried out. Several new services at HCTM were introduced last year and early this year, including the establishment of 2 units under the Heart and Lung Center, namely the Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit and the Cardiology Unit, the establishment of the Assistant Medical Officer Supervision Unit, the establishment of the HCTM Occupational Health Clinic, and the establishment of the Unit HCTM Public Health from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2026 led by YBhg. Mejar Bersekutu (PA) Prof. Dr. Mohd. Rohaizat Hassan.

Taking this opportunity, he announced that 2024 is the Year of Strengthening HCTM where enforcement covers aspects of regulations, directives and circulars to be used for all HCTM staff. Strengthening a quality management system that has high resilience and a responsive, dynamic and inclusive mastery approach through the 6R STRATEGY ie Recovery, Reform, Restart, Revitalise, Resolve, and Resilience.

The staff present were also introduced to the Sustain Development Goals (SDG) as well as Strategic Collaboration and Networking with various parties in helping to improve the skills of the workforce through partnership, involvement or training. In the same event, the Malaysian Society Quality in Health (MSQH) Certificate Presentation and the Opening of the Emergency Medicine Department Ambulance were also held. The ceremony was attended by all Deputy Directors, Deputy Registrars, Heads of Departments, and UKM staffs.

Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz’s Occupational Health Clinic

CHERAS, January 15, 2024 – YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Director of HCTM was present to inaugurate the Occupational Health Clinic in the Lobby Room of the Advanced Surgical Skills Center HCTM, early this morning.

The establishment of the Occupational Health Clinic is the result of management discussions and the MSQH survey carried out in 2021. During the review of the MSQH programs, it was found that some duties overlap between the Occupational Safety and Health Unit (UKKP), the Infection Control Unit (UKI) and the Warga Clinic. In line with the increment numbers of staff and competency, the Safety and Health Unit (UKKP) is ready to give a high commitment to run the HCTM Occupational Health Clinic which has been operational on 1 November 2023.

HCTM’s Occupational Health Clinic provides services such as acute injury case management, blood and radiology tests, vaccinations, health check-ups and referred cases of occupational disease or occupational poisoning as well as managing “return to work” cases.

Also present at the ceremony was Dr. Zairul Azwan Mohd Azman, Deputy Director (Medical Services), Mr. Mursidi Ahamad, Deputy Registrar, Department Heads, Senior Officials of the Ministry of Health Malaysia, Public University Teaching Hospital and HCTM staff.

Perasmian Minggu Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan Malaysia Peringkat HCTM 2023

CHERAS, 21 Ogos 2023 – Perasmian Minggu Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan Malaysia Peringkat HCTM 2023 dengan tema Persekitaran Kerja Yang Sihat dan Selamat adalah Hak Asasi Setiap Pekerja’ telah diadakan pada petang tadi telah disempurnakan oleh Ir. Haji Mohd Hatta Zakaria, Timbalan Pengarah, Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan.

YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Pengarah Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM) merangkap Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Keselamatan dan Persekitaran HCTM dalam ucapannya menyatakan objektif utama penganjuran Minggu Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan adalah untuk meningkatkan kesedaran tentang kepentingan keselamatan dan kesihatan di tempat kerja, memupuk budaya di mana semua warga HCTM komited untuk mencegah kemalangan, kecederaan dan penyakit pekerjaan. Tambahan beliau, Jawatankuasa Keselamatan dan Persekitaran memainkan peranan penting dalam memupuk budaya keselamatan. Dedikasi jawatankuasa untuk menyemak dan mengemaskini dasar dan prosedur keselamatan agar sentiasa seiring dengan amalan terbaik dalam standard keselamatan dan kesihatan pekerjaan. Ini dapat dibuktikan dengan pencapaian HCTM telah berjaya memperolehi Pensijilan Penuh Akreditasi MSQH selama empat (4) tahun berkuatkuasa pada 7 Februari 2023. HCTM menjadi satu-satunya Hospital Pengajar Universiti Awam yang mendapat akreditasi ini. Hasilnya, peningkatan dalam pematuhan protokol dan amalan keselamatan tempat kerja.

Risiko keselamatan dan kesihatan pekerjaan wujud di semua tempat kerja tidak kira sektor mana, termasuk di sektor perkhidmatan, khususnya di Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz ini. Oleh itu, adalah penting untuk setiap tempat kerja mewujudkan sistem Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (KKP) yang mampan.  Ini diperkuatkan lagi dengan Matlamat Pembangunan Lestari (Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)) yang telah diperkenalkan oleh Pertubuhan Bangsa-bangsa bersatu (PBB) yang menyasarkan semua negara memenuhi 17 matlamat bermula tahun 2016 hingga 2030. Matlamat ke-3 iaitu ‘Kesihatan dan Kesejahteraan yang baik’ dan matlamat ke-8, iaitu ‘Persekitaran kerja yang baik serta pertumbuhan ekonomi’ adalah sangat berkait rapat dengan agenda keselamatan dan kesihatan pekerjaan negara ke arah membolehkan rakyat negara ini melangkah ke masa depan yang lebih makmur dan lestari inklusif. Perkara ini telah ditekankan oleh  YBrs. Ir. Haji Mohd Hatta Zakaria, Timbalan Pengarah, Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan dalam ucapan perasmian beliau.

Majlis turut dihadiri oleh Prof. Madya Dr. Jamari Sapuan, Timbalan Pengarah (Perkhidmatan Surgeri) HCTM, Encik Mursidi Ahamad, Timbalan Pendaftar HCTM, Ketua-ketua Jabatan, Dr. Khamsiah Nawawi, Ketua Unit Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan, Pegawai-pegawai kanan Agensi-agensi Kerajaan dan Warga UKM.

HCTM Nursery Graduation Ceremony 2022

CHERAS, 1 December 2022 – HCTM Nursery Graduation Ceremony 2022 was held this morning at the ASSC HCTM Auditorium. This program organized by the HCTM Nursery, Department of Integrated Facility Management was to celebrate the 24 children who graduated from the Nursery. HCTM Nursery previously known as Taska Pujangga HUKM followed by PERMATA Nursery UKM Medical Center shortly. The nursery started in early 1998 after HCTM were opened and has reached 24 years of establishment.

Early childhood education has become a main discussion agenda for the country, especially government and private organizations that are increasingly active in establishing nurseries in the workplace to provide a better welfare for staffs. HCTM’s nursery services cover the care and education of staff’s children aged three (3) months to four (4) years. The ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Professor Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Director of Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, UKM. Also present at the ceremony were Mr. Mursidi Ahamad, Deputy Registrar of HCTM, Mrs. Zuraidah Konil, Head of Integrated Facilities Management Department of HCTM, Nursery educators and parents.

 

The Driving Rehabilitation Program, “Return To Drive” (RTD)
