Korban and Akikah program organized by Surau Ibnu Sina, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz

CHERAS, 19 Jun 2024 – Program Korban dan Akikah anjuran Surau Ibnu Sina, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz telah dilaksanakan pada 10 Zulhijah 1445H selepas selesai Solat Sunat Aidiladha.  Hampir 200 orang kakitangan yang hadir telah bertugas sebagai sukarelawan untuk menumbangkan 10 ekor lembu dan tiga (3) ekor kambing untuk ibadah korban pada tahun ini. Program dijalankan secara gotong-royong bermula dengan melapah daging, memotong, mengagih seterusnya menyediakan juadah makan tengah hari untuk kakitangan dan hadirin yang hadir.

Program kali ini mendapat sokongan Pengurusan HCTM apabila YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Pengarah HCTM  yang turut turun padang untuk bersama-sama dengan kakitangan bagi menjayakan ibadah korban. Turut hadir di dalam program ini, YBhg. Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim Abdul Gafor, Timbalan Naib Canselor (Hal-Ehwal Akademik dan Antarabangsa) UKM, YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Hanafiah Harunarashid, Pro Naib Canselor Kampus Kuala Lumpur, Prof. Madya Dr. Jamari Sapuan, Timbalan Pengarah (Perkhidmatan Surgeri) menjalankan tugas Timbalan Pengarah (Perkhidmatan Diagnostik, Farmasi dan Sokongan) HCTM, Dr. Zairul Azwan Mohd Azman, Timbalan Pengarah (Perkhidmatan Perubatan) HCTM, Encik Mursidi Ahamad, Timbalan Pengarah (Pentadbiran) HCTM dan warga UKM.

 

World Hand Hygiene Day Celebration Opening Ceremony Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz 2024

CHERAS, 8 May 2024 – The Opening Ceremony of the World Hand Hygiene Day Celebration at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz 2024 organized by the Infection Control Unit and Nursing Services Department was completed by YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Director of HCTM at the Auditorium, Chancellor Tuanku Ja’afar Medical Education Complex , HCTM today.

On May 5 every year, the World Health Organization (WHO) runs the SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands campaign in conjunction with World Hand Hygiene Day which aims to raise awareness of the importance of hand hygiene among health workers and the general public. Adherence to hand hygiene practices among health workers is a key step that has proven to be effective in the prevention of health care-related infections and antimicrobial resistance.

“This celebration can indirectly strengthen the practice and effectiveness of the five (5) moments of hand hygiene and HCTM’s infection control program and make the leaders as role models in the hospital’s Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) program.”

“Activities like this can improve the image and quality of services, in line with HCTM’s success in obtaining MSQH and MS ISO 9001: 2015 certification awards. HCTM can be an example and follow for other health institutions under UKM to work together and be competitive to empower and pioneering healthcare in the Cheras Community and Malaysia in general.” he said while speaking at the opening ceremony this morning.

The presentation of the “HCTM Hand Hygiene Excellence 2023” Award and the presentation of ‘Hand Hygiene’ by Kumpulan Silat and TASKA HCTM were also included in this event. In addition, this program also features guest speakers from Al-Sultan Abdullah Hospital, UITM and the University of Malaya Medical Center. Also present at this event was Dr. Sharifah Azura Salleh, Head of HCTM’s Infection Control Unit and Program Chairperson, Mrs. Wan Omi Wan Yussop, Head of Finance Department, Mrs. Masrifah Zakaria, Head of HCTM’s Nursing Services Department and HCTM residents.

Healthcare Leadership Management Program Closing Ceremony and MoU Exchange Between UKM and SingHealth

CHERAS, 8 May 2024 – Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz through the Corporate Communications Department organized the Healthcare Leadership Management Program Closing Ceremony and MoU Exchange between UKM and SingHealth yesterday at the Advanced Surgical Skills Center (ASSC) Auditorium, HCTM.

The first Healthcare Leadership Management Program was held in 2020 at the UMBI Auditorium with the involvement of 71 participants at that time. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Hanafiah, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Kuala Lumpur Campus who represented UKM’s Vice-Chancellor in his speech said, “Within three (3) years we managed to reach 260 participants with about 20 projects presented.

“Who would have thought that in 3 years we have managed to cover management topics such as Healthcare Leadership, Healthcare Financing, Risk Management, Human Resource Management, Communication, Population Health, Healthcare Strategy & Patient Value Delivery, Epidemic Management at the system level, Diabetes Mellitus – Prevention & Management, and Clinical Quality and Patient Safety”, he said.

The participants of this program consist of management and professional groups from the teaching hospital group (KHUAM – Hospital Konsortium Universiti Awam Malaysia). The organization of this program is the result of collaboration between HCTM and Singapore Health Services (SingHealth) in fostering a network of healthcare practitioners empowered to improve healthcare as well as a platform for sharing expertise to build a sustainable healthcare system across communities in the region.

The organization of the Healthcare Leadership Management Programme, SingHealth acts as the provider of the Training Module, HCTM as a collaboration partner as a leader in ensuring that the planned program runs smoothly while the sponsorship and funds are from Temasek Foundation International.

An Exchange of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UKM and SingHealth was also held. UKM was represented by YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Hanafiah Harunarashid as Pro Vice Chancellor of the Kuala Lumpur Campus. While SingHealth is represented by YBhg. Prof. Fong Kok Yong, Deputy Group CEO (Medical & Clinical Services). Also present in this ceremony was YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Director of HCTM, Puan Vijaya Rao, Director of International Collaboration Office, SingHealth, Deputy Directors, Heads of Departments and staff of the Malaysian Public University Teaching Hospital.

 

 

 

 

Kuala Lumpur Campus (Cheras Zone) UKM Aidilfitri Celebration 2024/1445H

The Celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2024/1445H UKM Kuala Lumpur Campus (Cheras Zone) was celebrated on 23 April 2023 at the Chancellor Tuanku Ja’afar Medical Education Complex, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz with the presence of over 3,000 people from UKM Kuala Lumpur Campus (Cheras Zone) . This event is the result of collaboration between the Kuala Lumpur Campus (Cheras Zone), UKM Faculty of Medicine, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM), Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani Hospital, Children’s Specialist Hospital (HPKK), Medical Molecular Biology Institute (UMBI) and College Tun Dr. Ismail (KTDI).

YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, HCTM Director and Chairman of the Committee of the 2024 Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration Ceremony representing Dr. Hanafiah Harunarashid, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Kuala Lumpur Campus said, the main purpose of this event is to foster fraternity, increase the sense of gratitude and strengthen the friendly relationship between the staff of the Kuala Lumpur Campus. The ceremony which started at 2:30 pm was enlivened with a performance from the Karyara Band Group, HCTM TASKA Children and KKL employees. A variety of interesting dishes that are synonymous with Syawal celebrations are served such as lemang and rendang, impit rice and peanut sauce, satay, beriani rice set, Arabic bread and goat stew, chicken golek, various pastries and noodles.

In addition, there was also a presentation of ‘duit raya’ to children from TASKA HCTM and prizes for the winners of the Aidilfitri Eid Program, namely the Short Raya Video Competition, the Creative Raya Card Creation Competition and the Terjah Raya Program (Office Decorations) 2024.

This ceremony was also attended by YBhg. Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Abd. Razak, Chairman of UKM’s Board of Directors and YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Mr. Ts. Dr. Mohd Ekhwan Hj. KPT Circumcision Program (Sunathon) in collaboration with HCTM

PUTRAJAYA, February 22, 2024 – A total of 50 children participated in the Ministry of Higher Education’s Sunathon Programme for free, organized by the PUSPANITA Religious and Spiritual Bureau of the Ministry of Higher Education Branch (MOHE) in collaboration with Hospital Cancelor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM).  The programme that was held today was officiated by Encik Mohamad Azhan Md. Amir, Deputy Secretary General (Management and Development) of the Ministry of Higher Education at Dewan Za’aba, MOHE. The Sunathon programme is an HCTM corporate social responsibility programme for the community, especially the urban vulnerable and the B40, to empower the health and well-being of the people. A total of 80 officers, led by the Human Resources Department and assisted by the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, the Department of Surgery, the Nursing Services Department, the Emergency Medicine Department, the Assistant Medical Officer’s Supervisory Unit, the Director’s Office, and several other departments, were involved in the programme. Also present are YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Hanafiah Harunarashid, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Kuala Lumpur Campus; YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Director of HCTM; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jamari Sapuan, Deputy Director (Surgical Services), who carries out the duties of Deputy Director (Diagnostic, Pharmacy, and Support Services); Mr. Mursidi Ahamad, Deputy Registrar; and Lt. Recertification Audit MS ISO 9001:2015 SPK HCTM

CHERAS, 21 February 2024 – The SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd., led by Mrs. Kho Yeck Lan and three (3) assessors, paid a visit to Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz to conduct the MS ISO 9001:2015 SPK HCTM Recertification Audit for three days from 21 to 23 February 2024. This audit is to renew the ISO 9001:2015 certificate, which covers 26 scopes of assessment, namely 24 scopes of outpatient and inpatient care processes, clinical and non-clinical support, 1 scope of Human Resource Management, and 1 scope of Financial Management. The audit opening briefing was delivered by YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Director of HCTM, in the Board Meeting Room, HCTM. Present at the opening session of the audit was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jamari Sapuan, Deputy Director (Surgical Services), carrying out the duties of Deputy Director (Diagnostic, Pharmacy, and Support Services), Mr. Mursidi Ahamad, Deputy Registrars, Heads of Departments, Senior Officers, and staff of HCTM.

Mission SlimPossible Competition Opening Ceremony MOHE 2.0

PUTRAJAYA, 7 February 2024 – The Opening Ceremony of the Mission SlimPossible MOHE 2.0 Competition was held today at the Za’aba Hall, Ministry of Higher Education, Putrajaya and was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Megat Sany Megat Ahmad Supian, Deputy Secretary General (Policy) of the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT).

Speaking in the ceremony, he informed the results of a study by the Institute of Public Health, Ministry of Health Malaysia in 2020 that found that the state with the most obesity in Malaysia is the Federal Territory of Putrajaya with 43% of the population being obese. In this study report it was also found that 40.3% of all public servants in Malaysia are in the obesity category.

“Mission Slim-Possible MOHE 2.0 competition as well as various other programs that have been implemented by the KPT Club is in line with the Ministry’s objective to always encourage KPT staffs to live a healthy lifestyle,” he said.

This health check-up program was going to held twice, which is today and the next on 6 May 2024, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) in collaboration with Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM). This program is led by the Family Medicine Department with collaborations of Nursing Services Department, the Dietetic and Food Service Department, and the Pharmacy Department to promote the importance of self-care and weight loss to 250 participant under the KPT. The HCTM Director’s Office and the Multimedia & Broadcasting Department were also present as secretaries.

The program offers free health screenings such as body mass index (BMI) measurements, blood pressure tests, blood sugar checks and health consultations. In addition, a health forum related to Healthy Lifestyle was held which was presented by YBrs. Dr. Sarah Anne Robert, Pharmacy Officer and Mr. Muhammad Azif Azizi Bin Md Noh, Dietetic Officer and Mr. Mohd Amri Yahya, former National Football player.

The ceremony was also attended by YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Director of HCTM, Mr. Mursidi Ahamad, Deputy Registrar, and Associate Prof. Dr. Saharuddin Ahmad, Head of the Department of Family Medicine.

HCTM Staff Assembly No. 1/2024

CHERAS, 29 January 2024 – A total of 200 staff of Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz and UKM Kuala Lumpur Campus attended the HCTM Staff Assembly No. 1/2024 which held in the Gallery , Kompleks Pendidikan Perubatan Canselor Tuanku Ja’afar, HCTM. Decorated with neon lights which are symbolic of modern urban fashion, the first assembly opened its curtain with a speech and message from YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin, Director of HCTM.

Throughout the year 2023, various successes and excellences have been achieved by HCTM whether at the individual, department, university or international level. Recalling the achievements of 2023, several successes were highlighted such as the Staff Sports Championship between UKM Clusters, the Bitara Kelestarian Award (Service Center-HCTM) in conjunction with the UKM Bitara Award Ceremony, the 5-Star Rating of myPortfolio HCTM implementation in conjunction with the Inspectorate, and the Parade Champion (Pusat Tanggungjawab Category) UKM KL Campus Contingent in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul Celebration 1445H/2023. In addition, throughout the year 2023, a total of 58 service activity programs, 53 official events organized by the department and PTj, and 37 corporate and academic visit activities domestically and abroad have been carried out. Several new services at HCTM were introduced last year and early this year, including the establishment of 2 units under the Heart and Lung Center, namely the Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit and the Cardiology Unit, the establishment of the Assistant Medical Officer Supervision Unit, the establishment of the HCTM Occupational Health Clinic, and the establishment of the Unit HCTM Public Health from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2026 led by YBhg. Mejar Bersekutu (PA) Prof. Dr. Mohd. Rohaizat Hassan.

Taking this opportunity, he announced that 2024 is the Year of Strengthening HCTM where enforcement covers aspects of regulations, directives and circulars to be used for all HCTM staff. Strengthening a quality management system that has high resilience and a responsive, dynamic and inclusive mastery approach through the 6R STRATEGY ie Recovery, Reform, Restart, Revitalise, Resolve, and Resilience.

The staff present were also introduced to the Sustain Development Goals (SDG) as well as Strategic Collaboration and Networking with various parties in helping to improve the skills of the workforce through partnership, involvement or training. In the same event, the Malaysian Society Quality in Health (MSQH) Certificate Presentation and the Opening of the Emergency Medicine Department Ambulance were also held. The ceremony was attended by all Deputy Directors, Deputy Registrars, Heads of Departments, and UKM staffs.
